Zend is pleased to announce the BETA release of Zend Studio 9.0.0! You can download this release from: http://www.zend.com/en/products/studio/studio-9-beta This release contains improvements, new features, bug fixes and optimizations. Using a new set of features developers can now easily connect to version control repositories such as git, GitHub, Subversion and then launch Web applications locally or on remote Zend Server targets. Zend Studio 9.0 is faster, leaner, and lets you tune your IDE to your needs thanks to new smart product configuration. In more details: * Zend Studio 9 makes it easier than ever to bootstrap a project and create high-quality code: - Use Git and GitHub directly from within Zend Studio (“join the distributed version control revolution!”) - Benefit from the many JavaScript, CSS3, and HTML5 editor improvements in Eclipse 3.7.1 - Debug smarter and more efficiently * With Zend Studio 9, you can develop and deploy in the Cloud: - Develop using the Zend Developer Cloud – an instantly available, consistent PHP environment that delivers superior debugging, increased productivity and collaboration in the Cloud - Special feature for Studio purchasers during Zend Studio 9 beta – get priority access to Zend Developer Cloud! [note – what this means internally is that once a week during this period, Kent/Boaz will send invitations to everyone who purchased Studio that week] - Create and test deployment packages for reliable and consistent deployment to a number of Zend Application Fabric-enabled Clouds (RightScale, Amazon CloudFormation, IBM SmartCloud) as well as to on-premise Zend Server - Use the built-in Amazon Web Services toolkit for increased productivity in developing Web applications that leverage services like Amazon EC2 and S3 * Zend Studio 9 is faster, leaner, and lets you tune your IDE to your needs thanks to new smart product configuration: - 67% faster default startup - 40% smaller default disk footprint - Lower memory footprint This version is backward compatible with all 8.x versions.
