Adobe and Zend are pleased to announce the initial release of Flash Builder for PHP 4.5.0! Developing and maintaining Rich Internet Applications as well as Mobile Applications that leverage Flash technology on the client side and PHP technology on the server side requires a set of tools for developers and designers. Our goal is to provide tools that simplify essential designer/developer and developer/developer workflows needed to deliver high quality products. New Features: ------------- * Joint installation of both Flash Builder 4.5 and Zend Studio 8.0, as well as a set of integration tools for PHP and Flex developers. * Easy user registration for the integrated product, aligned with the Adobe registration process to allow both products to work with one license. * The ability to create joint Flex/PHP projects -- the front and back end portions being separate from each other. Consequently each has its own project structure, but both are aware of each other, allowing operations in one project to relate to the other project. * Easier support for introspection of PHP code in order to generate ActionScript classes, to call services on a web server. Static analysis methods are used to simplify the data type analysis as well as return types of methods. * Joint application debugging to assist in tasks and procecsses like root cause analysis and incremental development. Running applications in debug mode with the set of tools provided is required to evaluate expressions in run time. This joint debugging allows users to debug across the entire user interaction scenario, starting both from the client to server, and vice versa. System Requirements: -------------------- * Supported Operating Systems: - Windows x86, x86-64 XP, Vista, Windows7 - Mac OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard * 800MHz processor (1.5GHz processor recommended) * 1024B RAMs * 2GB of hard disk space Documentation: -------------- * Product documentation is available through the web GUI of the product, and on-line at http://www.zend.com/en/resources/zend-documentation/ Known Issues: ------------- * Service classes used for intropsection cannot be namespaced (with PHP 5.3 syntax). As a workaround use the regular class declaration to define your service. * If Flash Builder 4.5 (not PHP) is already installed on the machine, and the product (Flash Builder for PHP 4.5) is then installed in a different location, the user gets the "FB is installed" dialog. After clicking OK, the installation rolls back and removes both Flash Builder and Flash Builder for PHP. Support and Feedback: --------------------- * Support for Flash Builder for PHP 4.5.0 and evaluation support is provided via the Adobe forums at http://forums.adobe.com Thank you for using Flash Builder for PHP ------------------------------------------ Copyright 2011 Zend Technologies, Inc.
